Kathmandu Cycling Tour is a wonderful trip to explore the rich culture and lifestyle of the people in Kathmandu Valley. Track 1: Kathmandu-Tolkha-Kathmandu Tour : 32km/ 19 miles
This is a great beginner’s ride that includes an easy climb away from Kathmandu before a thrilling ride back downhill through typical villages and farms. This trip helps to boast your strength and skills on sections of single track. Visit the ancient temple at Tolkha before returning to Kathmandu.
Track 2: Kathmandu-Jamcho-Kathmandu Tour : 45km/ 27 miles
This is the challenging ride ; trip covers about 45km and can be completed in 3-4 hour bike ride. The route climbs through the Shivapuri National Park jungle, with breathtaking views from the top and adventurous descent along a rough-and-ready trail, a reward for hardcore mountain bikers.
Track 3: Kathmandu Scar Road Tour
This is one of the most anticipated and challenging rides in the Kathmandu Valley. The route goes to Kakani (2,030 m), an excellent hill station on the valley rim to get magnificent views of Himalaya and then to heads to Budhanilkantha. After visiting Budhanilkantha Temple we return to Kathmandu. The duration of trip is 5-6 hours.
Track 4 :Kathmandu-Chobar-Lele-Godwari- Kathmandu Tour
This tour is for intermediate riders, and comprises a mix of jeep tracks, country roads, and trails. This is a long scenic ride to the southwen end of Kathmandu Valley. The trip is about 28 miles (47 km) which takes us to small villages of the Newar and Tamang comunity, before making a sharp ascent to Dhanda, where get clear view of Kathmandu Valley and mountain ranges.
Track 5: Budhanilkantha-Kapan Tour
This technical ride, which takes about 5 to 6 hours, starts from Kathmandu, heads to Budhanilkantha and then to Kapan and returns back to Kathmandu. The route goes through historical sites, ancient temples, shrines and monasteries . You can visit the gompas (monasteries) and interact with nuns and monks if you are interested and have time.
