Along the western fault, a string of lakes and mountains, the sources of the Nile, reveal an exuberant and preserved nature: forests that shelter primates, large and small, but also exceptional flora and fauna. We spend three days in Kibale, two of them having a unique experience, with the park guards who accustom chimpanzees to human presence. We continue south and Queen Elizabeth Park, which includes Lakes Edward and George, then to the forest of Biwindi where is the famous mountain gorilla.
We then return to Rwanda and we settle at the foot of the volcano park, where a second meeting with mountain gorillas can take place. Lake Kivu, incredibly clear water, and a discovery of Nyungwe forest will complete this journey of exceptional wealth.
